Some years ago God gave us a word that he would open the doors for us to minister in predominately Muslim countries. It all started four years ago when we were invited to minister in Indonesia. We had great stories of success there as we found that the Indonesian people were looking for the same sense of identity and truth that everyone else in the world was looking for. As we expand our outreach to new geographical areas, we are looking at Egypt as a next country of interest.

A door of opportunity has been opened to us right in front of our eyes. Several years ago we met a native born Egyptian woman named Nevien who was part of a group of Bible school students that we took on a mission trip to Bogota, Colombia. She subsequently accompanied us on several more trips to different locations in Latin America and our friendship and respect for her ability to minister to people with the genuine love of God grew.

Nevien immigrated with her family to the United States when she was nine years old. At the age of eleven she became a Christian and has always had a desire to return to Egypt to minister to her own people. It has been fifty years in the making, but her dream is finally coming true. In the last year she has gone on two mission trips to Cairo and the response has been so great that she has decided to permanently relocate in Egypt.

This is where the "Egypt Project" comes in. After consulting with our board of directors, we made the unanimous decision to invite her to partner with us as a friend of Alpha and Omega International Ministries. She will operate under the covering of our ministry and be our official hands and feet on the ground. She has contacts that would be of great benefit to our mission goals, and will be coordinating outreaches and ministry to the Islamic communities and already established Christian churches in Egypt.

With deep passion in her heart, Nevien sold her home, closed down her three US based businesses, and officially departed for Egypt on October 1, 2020.

Many prophesies have gone forth concerning a future movement of God breaking out among the Muslim population in the middle east and the scriptures confirm Egypt's involvement. Egypt is wide open to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Egyptian people are on FIRE!

Isa 19:22-25 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

God told Nevien to launch the ministry in Cairo by buying a bill-board and inscribing it with those powerful words: "Blessed be Egypt my people..."

She fondly tells the following story: At one point earlier this year I found myself sitting next to a Muslim woman clothed in the clothing representing the strictest of Muslim groups. The only part of her that was visible to me were her eyes. I said, "Do you know that Jesus says you are beautiful and He loves you very much?"

She said, "He loves me?"

"Yes, He loves you, and so do I." He wants to hear you say, "Jesus loves me." After she repeated those words I gave her my phone number and promised to pray for her. That evening I got a call from her daughter who went on to tell me how much that conversation meant to her mother.
